This allows the rear jaw to move down and away from the cleat on engagement. The effect is a reduction in the force required to engage the cleat for a given spring tension. The bindings feature a huge range of spring tension to suit any rider's preference. Renthal bindings are fully SPD compatible.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAxle System:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThe patent-pending axle system, featured in the Revo-DHC, allows full home servicing, using standard tools found in anyone's toolkit. All that is required is a 6mm and 8mm hex-key, a standard 8mm socket, a torque wrench and a mallet. The unique system uses the axle to both remove and reinstall the bushings. The bearings are also pressed into place, using the pedal internals.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eDurable Internals:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eInboard, the Revo-DHC spins on an extra-wide Igus bus, sealed with a full-contact wiper seal. Outboard, there are three cartridge bearings. Two smaller bearings and a larger bearing in the outermost location, sealed with an end-cap-O-ring. Adding to the durability of the bearings is the full-length axle. Mounting the bearing at the outer edge of the pedal gives them the best support to protect them from damage in a rock-strike incident.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eForged CNC:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003eThe main body of the Revo-DHC is made from forged, 6061 aluminium. The pedal is then fully CNC machined to remove as much material as possible. To improve rock-strike performance, the front of the pedal has been kept smooth, without any cut-outs.
